Using the Timer Task

Use the Timer Task to pause execution of the package. Do this by first selecting one of the following Pause Modes:

  1. Fixed Time
  2. Wait Until
  3. Wait Until Variable

Then configure the settings associated with the selected Pause Mode.

Fixed Time

The fixed time Pause Mode will always pause execution for the same amount of time.

Pause For

The amount of time to pause execution for specified by the following settings:

  • Days - The number of days to pause execution for. Can have a maximum value of 365.
  • Hours - The number of hours to pause execution for. Can have a maximum value of 23.
  • Minutes - The number of minutes to pause execution for. Can have a maximum value of 59.
  • Seconds - The number of seconds to pause execution for. Can have a maximum value of 59.

Wait Until

The wait until Pause Mode will pause execution until the current system date time is equal to or greater than the specified date time.

The date time to pause execution until. Specify by selecting a date and a time.

Wait Until Variable

The wait until variable Pause Mode will pause execution until the current system date time is equal to or greater than the value of the specified variable.
