FAQ
Absolutely. With KingswaySoft’s JDBC Driver for Salesforce, Java developers can easily integrate and manage Salesforce data through standard JDBC interfaces. The driver provides a seamless bridge between your Java applications and the Salesforce platform, offering reliable, API-based connectivity and SQL-like query support to retrieve, write, and manipulate data efficiently.
After installing the license, you can build the JDBC URL by executing the command java -jar kingswaysoft.jdbc.jar to access the connection management page. Enter the necessary connection details, and the program will automatically generate the JDBC connection URL for you.
The driver supports a comprehensive list of authentication methods for both SOAP and REST APIs, including Password Authentication, Authorization Code, Client Credentials, JWT, and Certificate-based authentication. These options ensure secure and flexible connections for various Salesforce environments.
The JDBC driver can connect to multiple Salesforce instance types, including Production, Developer, Sandbox, and Custom URL instances, providing full flexibility for different development, testing, and production environments.
The Advanced Settings page allows you to configure proxy settings. You can select from three proxy modes: No Proxy, Auto-detect (using system-configured proxy), or Manual, where you can specify the server, port, username, and password. This ensures connectivity in restricted network environments.
The INSERT operation is strictly used to create a new record in Salesforce. The UPSERT operation is more versatile: it attempts to match an existing record using a key (like ID or External ID) and either updates that record if found or inserts a new one if no match exists. This allows single-call operations for both insertions and updates.
The driver leverages multiple Salesforce APIs to optimize performance: SOAP and REST APIs are used for metadata and single-record operations, while the Bulk API is used for high-volume read and write operations. This ensures efficient data transfer and reliable integration across Salesforce services.
