Compression Task Component
The Compression Task is an SSIS control flow task that can be used to compress or decompress a file or directory. The component allows developers to select between four compression levels:
- None
- Best Speed
- Default, and,
- Best Compression.
The Compression Format feature allows you to compress/decompress the file in Zip, Gzip and Deflate formats. It also supports wildcard when performing Decompress Zip file action.
The Value Mapping component is part of the SSIS Productivity Pack, a collection of SSIS components that enable greater developer productivity.
