The connector supports both API v3 (using a Token File and Password, with optional PKCE support) and the legacy API v2 (using a direct Access Token). Users are warned against using the KingswaySoft-provided OAuth app for production.
The Source component includes a LinkId Mode option that can be set to Implicit (RowIndex) or Explicit (Id) to properly populate the _LinkId field, which is critical for linking nested objects in the output structure.
The JDBC Driver supports standard SQL operations (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) and **UPSERT**, allowing users to insert a new contact or update an existing one in a single call, which is highly efficient for list management.
The destination component provides an optional output field, `_ConstantContactId`, which contains the ID of the newly created record. This field can be enabled or disabled for efficiency and logging purposes.
When 'Redirect rows to error output' is selected, rows from the Child Input that fail to find their parent record are redirected to the 'Orphaned Children Error Output', providing specific diagnostics for hierarchical failures.
The connection manager supports three Proxy Modes (No Proxy, Auto-detect, Manual). For manual mode, it allows specifying the Proxy Server Name, Port, and separate Username and Password fields for proxy authentication.
The 'Ignore Certificate Errors' option is generally **NOT recommended**, especially for production environments, unless there is a strong reason to believe the connection is secure (e.g., internal infrastructure).
