The Power Apps connectors are available through the SSIS Integration Toolkit for Microsoft Dynamics 365, providing seamless integration capabilities between SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Power Apps/Dataverse environments.
The highly recommended method is OAuth authentication, particularly using the Client Credentials or Certificate OAuth types with a dedicated Application User. This strategy offers superior security and avoids consuming a full user license.
The connection manager supports both WebAPI (RESTful) and SOAP endpoints. The WebAPI endpoint is recommended for modern versions and better performance, while SOAP endpoints (e.g., 2011) are provided for backward compatibility and specific use cases such as extracting Audit Logs.
The connectors support FetchXML queries, which enable advanced operations such as joins (link-entities), aggregations, grouping, and detailed filtering—providing significantly more flexibility than basic entity queries.
