With the Azure Key Vault Connection Manager, you can secure connections to Azure Key Vault by configuring authentication modes and essential details. Additionally, it offers advanced settings for fine-tuning parameters like timeout values, API throttling rates, and retry policies to optimize data integration processes.
The Azure Key Vault Component in SSIS allows users to perform actions like get, set, delete, and purge on Azure Secrets, with configurable options for connection manager, action selection, and variable management.

Key Features
- Connect to Azure Key Vault using a configured Key Vault Base URL.
- Authenticate using Authorization Code, Client Credentials, Certificate, or Managed Identity.
- Generate OAuth tokens using in-app or web interface-based authentication.
- Use Client Credentials for service-to-service authentication scenarios.
- Authenticate with certificates from the file system or certificate store.
- Use Managed Identity to authenticate without managing credentials directly.
- Configure Tenant ID, Client ID, authorization URL, token file, and certificate settings as needed.
- Test connection settings before running the SSIS package.
- Configure timeout, API throttling, and retry settings for connection control.
- Retrieve secrets using the Get Secret action and assign values to an SSIS output variable.
