COVID-19 Response Plan

January 27, 2020: KingswaySoft provides the first of many COVID-19 awareness meetings to staff on the recommended prevention methods the company will be initiating as well as what each individual employee can do to help prevent the spread of the disease.

March 1, 2020: Effective immediately, KingswaySoft has put restrictions on air travel and provided additional COVID-19 awareness training to staff. Employees were advised to remain home if exhibiting any illness symptoms and preparations were put in place for the potential need to activate work-from-home protocols.

March 13, 2020: KingswaySoft activates remote work protocols while maintaining the minimum level of staff operating from the company's premise. In addition, employees have clear instructions to notify HR of any COVID-19 related health issue and to follow Health Canada guidelines in the event of any COVID-19 symptoms.

March 17, 2020: KingswaySoft releases the below statement. A copy of the COVID-19 Response Plan can be found below the statement.

March 23, 2020: The Government of Ontario has ordered the closure of all non-essential businesses as of Tuesday, March 24 from 11:59PM EDT. As KingswaySoft has taken all required procedures to maintain business functions through our work-from-home protocols, our operations will remain unaffected by this order.

May 22, 2020: With the gradual easing of social restrictions taking place in the Province of Ontario, our work-from-home protocols will continue to remain in place as we monitor the situation. As always, our teams are available to provide you with our dependable service.

November 16, 2020: The city of Oakville's COVID response has been raised to red level alert, the highest level short of a full lockdown. With our work-from-home protocols still active, this change will have no affect on our business.

As communities around the world enforce some form of social distancing, we are monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and are fully prepared to meet your needs as well as provide for the health and safety of our employees.

We understand many businesses are facing disruptions and we have put into place extraordinary measures that will ensure business continuity during these unpredictable times.

COVID-19 Response Plan

This plan, shared with employees of KingswaySoft, provides guidelines during this unpredictable time. Our focus remains the health and safety of our families, employees, clients, and, partners.  This plan has been specifically designed for the concerns brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. As the situation remains fluid, this plan will be updated according to new and relevant information in relations to the 2019 coronavirus.

  • Travel
    • All business travel is eliminated.
    • Any employee who has traveled on business between January 1, 2020 and March 1, 2020 must report their travel dates and locations to HR.
    • Any employee that has traveled recently (after March 1, 2020) must follow Health Canada guidelines and self-quarantine for 14 days while reporting the incident to HR. KingswaySoft's No Business Travel directive remains in place. More information on travel warnings can be found here: https://travel.gc.ca/travelling/health-safety/travel-health-notices
  • Illness
    • Employees who are well but have been in close contact with someone suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 should notify HR and refer to the Ontario government guidance for how to conduct a risk assessment of their potential exposure.
    • If an employee is confirmed to have COVID-19, HR will inform fellow employees of their possible exposure to COVID-19 in the workplace but maintain confidentiality as required by law. Employees exposed to a colleague with confirmed COVID-19 should refer to the Ontario government guidance for how to conduct a risk assessment of their potential exposure.
  • Cleaning and interacting with others
    • Employees must wash hands frequently, and cover any cough or sneeze with a tissue or the sleeve of your arm.
    • All employees must practice social distancing and avoid handshaking.
    • Alcohol-based hand sanitizer has been placed at the entrance of KingswaySoft's premise.
    • Cleaning contractors have been instructed to increase the frequency and intensity of their office cleaning services.
  • Remote Work
    • All employees must begin working from home as of March 16, 2020 until notified of any changes.
    • All internal meetings will be held virtually and all client and partner meetings will continue to be held virtually.
    • KingswaySoft premises will continue to be staffed with minimum number of employees required to maintain regular business operations.
    • Access to KingswaySoft premises for all other personnel or guests is restricted.
