With this change, we are officially retiring support of SQL Server 2008 R2 or earlier, since the .NET framework used by SQL Server 2008 R2 or earlier is not be able to support TLS 1.1 or 1.2. You will receive a warning message when you open Salesforce connection manager in a SQL Server 2008 R2 (or earlier) Visual Studio environment.
